Call for ANA Nominations! Nominations and Elections Committee and 2026 ANA National Awards

Call for Nominations  
Nomination Period: February 6, 2026 – February 23, 2026

 
The ANA Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC) has issued an Additional Call for Nominations for a 
slate of candidates for the President, Director-at-Large Staff Nurse and members for the Nominations 
and Elections Committee positions to be presented to the Membership Assembly in 2026.  

The Additional Call is for these positions only:  

ANA Board of Directors  
• President 
• Director-at-Large Positions - One (1) Director-at-Large, Staff Nurse

The term of service for the Board of Director positions is January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2028.  

ANA Nominations and Elections Committee  
• Three (3) Member Positions 

The term of service for all three (3) Nominations and Elections Committee positions is January 1, 2027 – 
December 31, 2029.  

Nominations must be submitted via the online nomination form by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Monday, 
February 23, 2026.  

Preparation of Nomination Materials 
1. READ the roles and responsibilities for your position of choice to ensure that they match 
your interests, experience, and qualifications.  
2. IDENTIFY the degree to which you possess the competencies that have been deemed 
important to serve successfully and effectively for each position.   
3. SELECT a Campaign Manager, if you wish, and provide their contact information where 
requested on the online nomination form.  
4. COMPLETE AND SIGN/INITIAL where noted. Nominees for the ANA Board of Directors 
must also submit the following additional documents, which are included on the online 
nomination form. 
                  ~Conflict of Interest Statement AND Financial Interest Disclosure Form~
5. SUBMIT all nomination components by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Monday, February 23, 
2026. Please note:    
o You will need to create a user id and password before accessing the form.   
o Nominations that are incomplete, handwritten, faxed, or submitted after the 
deadline will not be accepted.

2026 ANA National Awards 

A second Call for Nominations for the ANA National Awards is underway for the following awards: 

• Champion of Nursing Award 
• Early Career Nurse Leader Award 
• Public Health Service Award 

Individuals are encouraged to take this opportunity to acknowledge exceptional colleagues for their outstanding contributions and achievements.
