Hawai'i-ANA Expresses Gratitude for Governor Green's Leadership in West Coast Health Alliance

HONOLULU, HI – September 9, 2025 – The Hawai'i-American Nurses Association (Hawai'i-ANA) today expressed profound gratitude to Governor Josh Green for his steadfast commitment to science and health, and for his pivotal role in the newly formed West Coast Health Alliance. This collaborative initiative, uniting leaders from Washington, Oregon, California, and Hawai'i, marks a critical step forward in strengthening regional healthcare systems.

"We are incredibly grateful for Governor Green's continued dedication to science and health, and his invaluable collaboration in the West Coast Health Alliance," said Denise Cohen, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, President of Hawai'i-ANA. "His leadership ensures that health policy and public health guidance are grounded in evidence and clinical expertise, which is essential for protecting our communities and building robust healthcare systems."

The emerges at a crucial time, addressing the urgent need for strong, science-driven leadership at the state and regional levels. Hawai'i-ANA, alongside its sister organizations—the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA), Oregon Nurses Association (ONA), and the American Nurses Association/California (ANA/C)—stands committed to working with Governor Green's administration to uphold science as the cornerstone of healthcare decision-making.
