Congratulations, Dr. Nancy Atmospera-Walch, for receiving the prestigious 2024 Mary Mahoney Award from ANA!

Nancy Atmospera-Walch, DNP, MPH, MCHES, LNHA, CCHN, CMC, BSN FN, FAAN, Hawai'i-ANA President, is the recipient of the Mary Mahoney Award recognizing significant contributions, made by an individual registered nurse or a group of registered nurses, to integration within the nursing profession.

This exciting event was part of the American Nurses Association (ANA) National Awards Program, and one of three AWARDS FOR NURSE PIONEERS conferred at a ceremony on June 27, 2024 in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the extraordinary achievements of nurses who are exemplary leaders and advocates, and whose contributions have advanced nursing and demonstrate ANA’s impact on improving health care for all.

Dr. Atmospera-Walch is pictured here, hard at work as  the lead delegate from Hawaiʻi-ANA for the 2024 ANA Membership Assembly in Washington DC, the morning after this award was conferred.  She is adorned with a Lei Poʻo (haku lei) sent to her by her staff at Advantage Healthcare Provider, Inc.  where Nancy is the CNO and CEO, to celebrate the occasion of this award.  The wrist corsage of orchids seen at her right hand was part of a celebration gift sent by Hawaiʻi-ANA Board of Directors and Members, where Nancy is the current President.  Congratulations to our very own Dr. Nancy Atmospera-Walch!
