Seeking mentees and mentors for the Hawaiʻi - American Nurses Association Mentorship Program. Participants will have a 1-3hr commitment per month based on their desired contact amount with their respective mentee or mentor.
Over four months, mentees and mentors will be provided with monthly discussion topics to guide the relationship, speaker events, CE offerings, and networking opportunities. The program is intended to empower the next generation of nurse leaders through mentoring, coaching, teaching, advocating, and networking. Applications for mentees and mentors are open! Space is limited to the first 40 applicants.
Here are a sneak peak of our monthly discussion topics:
- June - Building Your Nursing Family: The Finesse of Networking
- July - Learning to Lead: Revenue, Risk & Recognition
- August - Together We Can: Advocacy & Legislation
- September - Nurses Lift Their Young: The Importance of Psychological Safety
- October - Putting Practice to Paper: Research & Evidence-Based Practice
Applications Requirements:
- Hawaiʻi-ANA Member or Hawaiʻi-ANA Student Subscriber
- Submission of an application between May 10 - 31, 2022
- Commitment to the mentorship relationship from June to October 2022
- An ideal mentor is an individual with at least 2 years of experience in their current role and whom is wanting to share knowledge and experiences
- An ideal mentee is an individual seeking advice in their career and/or other skills from a mentor (i.e. policy engagement, interview skills, research, leadership, etc.)
