Congratulations to Dr. Pokiʻi Balaz, Hawaiʻi-ANA Nominating Committee Chair for her recognition in Pacific Business News as the new Interim Executive Director of Lunalilo Home.
Dr. Poki’i Balaz is a double board-certified family nurse practitioner who aims to serve our kupuna, those with Alzheimer’s, other related dementias, caregivers, and underserved populations such as Native Hawaiians. Dr. Balaz received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo and Executive Master of Business Administration from Shidler College of Bussiness with her focus on improving financial resources and advocacy for caregivers.
Dr. Balaz has been involved with Hawaiʻi-ANA since its establishment in December of 2019. She was part of the initial leadership group that led to Hawaiʻi-ANA's founding and has served as Secretary 2020-2021 and now Chair of the Nominating Committee.
