Interested in building your resume, helping advance nursing, and participating in a pilot project by taking free leadership and nursing courses? 

The Nurse Empowerment Program is for you!

At Sigma, we believe you can be a leader at any stage of your career, regardless if you’re in a formal leadership role or not. Through a partnership study with Johnson & Johnson Foundation, Sigma is looking for frontline nurses with up to 10 years of experience to take up to 9 LinkedIn Learning leadership and management skills courses. The results of this study will help us better understand the value, relevance, and effectiveness of these courses in helping prepare nurses in their careers.

Participants will also receive complimentary nursing and healthcare focused content from Sigma (online courses and/or e-book discussion) to accompany the LinkedIn Learning courses. Some of this content will be eligible for nursing continuing professional development (CPD) contact hours. (Note: The LinkedIn Learning courses will not be eligible for CPD credit.)

Sigma has worked closely with Johnson & Johnson Foundation to ensure the curriculum relates to important challenges and opportunities that early career nurses experience. Courses will address the following eight competencies: 
•    Leadership development 
•    Effective communication skills 
•    Dealing with conflict 
•    Healthy work environments 
•    Diversity 
•    Change management 
•    Team science
•    Resilience
