Hawaiʻi-ANA has partnered with Compassionate & Choices to provide a FREE, two part webinar series to educate RNs and APRNs on their role in the Our Care, Our Choice Act; commonly referred to as medical aid in dying law.

As Compassion & Choices near the end of the second year of Hawaiʻi 's Our Care, Our Choice Act (OCOCA), please join us for two educational opportunities designed specifically for Registered Nurses, APRNs, Social Workers and Physicians on the implementation of the law and models for normalizing and integrating end-of-life choices into standard medical care.
The first webinar focuses on the clinical competencies, the nursing and social worker role, pharmacy role and medication protocols involved in all end-of-life choices with particular emphasis on medical aid in dying, presented by a physician, an RN, an APRN and a psychologist.

The second webinar will provide a panel discussion on how the law is working, sharing information and personal experiences from various experts including physicians, an RN, an APRN, a Licensed Social Worker, and a Pharmacist, all who have worked directly with all aspects of OCOCA/Medical Aid in Dying in Hawaiʻi.

This training will provide you the tools necessary to help terminally ill individuals and their families in communities across the Aloha State understand and access the full range of end-of-life options.
There is no cost to participate in these webinars.
Continuing education credits will be available to Social Workers from the National Association of Social Workers Hawaiʻi. Compassion & Choices will distribute certificates of completion after each webinar. There will be no CE offering for RNs or APRNs.
