Nurses' Month : Requesting Engagement

Hawai'i Nurses, Happy Nurses' Month!

Hawai'i - American Nurses Association is excited to celebrate a full month of honoring our profession and acknolwegding the incredible nurse leaders in Hawai'i's healthcare system and our community. We want to hear from you and share your stories. 

Throughout the month of May we will be highlighting Hawai'i nurses on our Website, Facebook Page, and Instagram. Please share your stories, photos, and videos with us. All submissions can be made via email to president@hawaii-ana.org. See below for entry submission criteria. 

1) "Shakas and Smiles" photos of you and your nursing collegues. Please include your name and place of work!

2) Recognition: Please share recognition of a nursing mentor or a nurse who made a significant impact on your career OR  a non-nurse who has been impacted by a nurse and is interested in sharing their story.

3) Professional Development: Please share how you are advancing your nursing career such as engagement in a specialty certification, advanced degree, evidence based practice projects, nurse entrepreneurship, other professional nursing organizations, and/or mentorship programs.  The goal is to show the public who nurses are and what they do!

4) Community Engagement: Please share your engagement in volunteer organizations outside of nursing, coaching a sports team, your neighborhood board, the small business you run, legislation you are involved in, etc..

We can't wait to hear from your and share your stories! Nurses Month is being celebrated nationwide. Let's us show the incredible nursing community we have in Hawai'i.
