Topic

In partnership with the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments (ANHE), we invite you to a special nursing-focused webinar at noon HST on Thursday, June 5th in honor of World Environment Day ! “Caring for People and Planet: What Can Nurses Do?”

Additional Information

From cleaner air to safer water, a healthier environment means fewer illnesses, less stress on healthcare systems, and better outcomes for the people and communities we serve. As nurses, we see firsthand how extreme heat, air pollution, and environmental degradation affect vulnerable communities. That’s why we have both a responsibility and an opportunity to lead by example.

Hear from fellow ANHE nurses about how you can make a difference—at the bedside, in your community, and beyond.  Additionally, hear from nurses in Hawaii, hailing from different islands but united by an interest in taking climate health action. We are honored to be the first Climate Health Organizing Fellow (CHOF) group from our state, using the team’s name Huli’au Ola, a Hawaiian phrase meaning “turning point for health.” Our mission is to enhance health equity in Hawaii by addressing climate change through education and engagement of nurses in advocacy.

Let’s celebrate World Environment Day by acting locally and thinking globally. Healthy nurses, healthy people, healthy planet—it’s all connected.
