Hawaiʻi-ANA is proud to offer CE for the new laws for Hawai'i’s Our Care, Our Choice Act (OCOCA) and how it relates to APRN and RN practice.  Hawai'i’s Our Care, Our Choice Act (OCOCA) has expanded the definition of attending, consulting and mental health providers to include APRNs & Psych APRNs.  Change in law parameters require an increase knowledge of OCOCA/Medical Aid in Dying (MAID) protocols.

  • Session One: The Roles of the Medical Aid-in-Dying Team & the Requirements of the Law.  September 13, 2023,12:00 noon.
  • Session Two: The Mental Health Evaluation and Medication Process for OCOCA.  September 20, 2023, 12:00 noon
  • Session Three:  How it Actually Works:  Case Studies and Care Surrounding the Patient and Family. September 27, 2023, 12:00 noon.  

This series will be an enduring series meaning that it will be available for CE up to a year after initial webcast.  Dates for these live webcasts are September 13, 20, and 27, 2023.  All participants need to register for each webinar separately.  Up to three (3) CEs including 1.5 pharmacology are available for: The Roles of the Medical Aid-in-Dying Team & the Requirements of the Law are available.  One CE per session.
